Anushka Sharma has reunited with her Band Baaja Baaraat (BBB) crew for the shooting of Ladies Vs Ricky Bahl. Sharma, who made her debut in Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, and played wedding planner Shruti in BBB, is looking forward to her part in director Maneesh Sharma’s latest work which co-stars Ranveer Singh as Ricky. She says, “I play a really layered character but I am not allowed to talk about it too much. The most exciting thing is to work with Maneesh and the BBB team again. I play a very smart chick. If the guy is a con artist, she’s his match.”
The 22 year old actress, who started her career as a model, speaks to Udita Jhunjhunwala about dealing with new found fame.
When you look back at your three years and four films, how does it feel?
My first film released in December 2008. Then I had films coming one after the other from 2010. Considering I didn’t ever think I was going to be acting it was all too much for me. At the time of my first film I was lost. All the attention was too much, so it took about six months to take it all in and gather myself. Though I never wanted to get into Bollywood, now I wonder how I could have ever thought of doing anything else. I get bored very easily so acting is very great — it gives you a chance to do something different every time.

If you weren’t acting, or modeling, what would you do?
I would want to learn something to do with filmmaking or study philosophy. I was always ranked 1^st or 2nd in school and topped my college in economics. I have always been good in studies but I won’t study just to get a degree. That makes no sense to me. I have learnt as much in the last two years as I did in 12 years in school.
